KNOWING JESUS CHRIST AS LORD By Larry Kreider TOPIC: Born the Second Time One day Jesus was talking to Nicodemus. "Jesus answered and said to him (Nicodemus), ''Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God." (John 3:3-5) Nicodemus asked Jesus how a man can be born again; how could he enter his mother's womb again? Jesus explained that we are born once physically and the second birth is a supernatural rebirth of our spirit into the heavenly realm of God's Kingdom. Becoming a Christian is a miracle of God. Someone might say, "I''m not sure if I'm reborn yet. How do I know?" Well, a newborn baby never says, "I'm not sure if I''m born yet." You are either born or you''re not. And in the spiritual sense, either you believe God''s Word and are a new creature or you don''t believe God''s Word and are not born again. If you are born again, start living the new life of Christ who lives in you. "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20) What an amazing statemnt. Christ actually lives within us when we receive Him into our lives! The same Jesus who walked the face of this earth two thousand years ago lives within us and wants to do His supernatural works through us. What an honor! 
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER Read John 3:3-5 and Galatians 2:20. Explain what it means to be born again. How do you know if you are reborn? Where does Christ live?
